Alas Kedaton

Alas Kedaton is a small forest with a width of about 6-7ha located in the middle of rice fields. Alas Kedaton located in Tabanan regency. Total size Alas Kedaton include temples, forests and supporting facilities is about 12 ha. In this forest, there is a temple called Alas Kedaton Temple with a green natural environment and fresh air that create an atmosphere of calm and holy enough. 


The monkeys in Alas Kedaton roam freely in the courtyard of the temple, so the atmosphere calm sometimes broken by a voice vote monkeys, who play around, stirring the food. Monkey in the base kedaton pretty tame.  The monkeys that live in this jungle jump up and down the walls of the temple, bathe in the trench or hang out in some trees. Monkeys act as guardians of the temple, always ready to welcome all visitors who visited this place. In addition to monkeys, bats and some other animals in the forest kedaton. can be seen by the tourists. At least 24 types of grove plant have been identified in Alas Kedaton.

Alas Kedaton Steady located in the village, Marga district, Tabanan regency. Travel to this place is easy to use motor vehicle via the main road from Denpasar to Tabanan. On the way to go to Kedaton Alas, we will see good scenery of paddy field and irrigation voice at the side of the road creating a peaceful atmosphere.  

Alas Kedaton Temple has three fields, outer, middle and center field. middle and center field is an open field surrounded by stone walls. The interesting thing about this temple is the height of the central field lower than middle field. It’s different than the general temples in Bali which is center field is often higher than middle field. In addition, another unique thing of this temple is It’s four entrances.

  26. It looks like a beautiful temple, and at least from the pictures it seems much more peaceful and quiet than other similar temple complexes in Indonesia. While I understand why many people would want to visit them, I prefer less visited places myself.
